As any automaker will tell you, developing and delivering new audio experiences in the automotive cabin is incredibly complicated.

That’s where Audio Weaver comes in -- we provide 500 battle-tested modules in a graphical drag-and-drop interface, enabling automakers to design, develop, and deploy exciting new audio experiences faster than ever. Leading auto brands from around the world have taken notice, and today we’re proud to announce that the SUBARU-SBI Innovation Fund has invested $3 million in DSP Concepts, which we’ll use to help our customers further accelerate audio and voice control innovation.

Audio Weaver powers the audio experiences of automotive innovators such as Daimler, Porsche, and Tesla, as today’s most inventive carmakers understand audio is not just about music and entertainment. Instead, they’re focused on crafting signature engine sounds and creating auditory experiences that are truly unique, heralding that a car worth noting has rolled up to your driveway before it even reaches your line of sight. Even better, Audio Weaver enables automakers to virtually tune the audio experience for new vehicles, significantly accelerating their time to market without tying up a development mule for weeks on end.

While Subaru certainly understands the complex nature of automotive audio, that’s not the only thing that caught their eye – they’re also impressed with our foothold in the consumer space, particularly with regards to voice. 2020 has been a year unlike any other, and the pandemic has only accelerated the demand for voice-enabled technology. In addition to automotive, we power audio and voice for many leading consumer brands. For example, we were instrumental in helping GoPro handle 100+ mph wind noise, and played a key role in launching the first voice-enabled Dolby Atmos multi-channel soundbar by Samsung on a single System-on-a-Chip.

With this investment, Subaru joins our impressive lineup of investors that includes Taiwania Capital, Porsche Digital, Innovation Growth Ventures/Sony Innovation Fund, MediaTek Ventures, and the ARM IoT Fund, bringing our total funding to $28.4M to date. It also marks the first audio investment in SUBARU-SBI Innovation Fund’s portfolio.

We’re thrilled to have Subaru along for the ride as we work together to power the audio and voice experiences of the future in automotive and beyond.
